It’s so important that our youth remain active daily, so the opportunities given to them by wonderful people and organizations in our community are welcomed with smiles. That day the group came to host the social, the children had just finished swimming in our pool with our lifeguard so they showed up with towels on their heads and still wet – ha!
Kids played with members and the winners received prizes that included Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, Dairy Queen gift cards and left with goodie bags provided by the ladies with a special message for beginning their new school year, along with supplies and treats.
Feedback from the kids:
It was fun! They loved the gummy worms and chocolate combination as toppers on the ice cream and enjoyed the healthy competition.
Feedback from the members:
The multi-generational experience was great, everyone engaged easily, and some of the kids were quiet and others confidently loud. They felt positive about the direction Vashti is moving when they met our management team and got to know us better. The energetic frequency was felt around the room.
Writing a check and sending it in the mail is one thing, but visiting the campus and spending time with our Executive Director, Chaplain and Development Director was a great way to establish a relationship with the passionate people who work behind the scenes to make the transformations at Vashti happen for the youth.
Funds Raised:
