Can you park at the event?

Primary event parking is the Jackson St parking lot for the Center for the Arts. Parking is also available on Hansel and Washington St.

The Washington St parking lot for the Center for the Arts will be limited to volunteers and handicap parking only.

Is alcohol permitted?
Alcohol (please read carefully): Beginning at 6 p.m., beer and wine will be available for purchase at designated stations in the special event area. Patrons must first present ID at the registration table to receive a wristband and designated cup authorized by the City. Per City of Thomasville regulations for nonprofit special events, no alcohol may be brought into the event. “Brown bagging” of any kind is prohibited. No alcoholic beverage purchased within the event area shall be allowed to leave or be consumed outside the event area. Patrons are not permitted to purchase outside beer and wine and bring it inside the event area.
What can be used as decorations?

Anything! You are only limited by your imagination. That being said, decorations are limited to TABLE TOPS AND CHAIRS ONLY. There will be no room to expand outside this permitted area. Electric power may be provided to patrons for an additional fee.

Tents of any kind are not permitted. Removal or modification of the table provided for the event is prohibited. If you do not wish to use the tablecloth provided, please give it to a volunteer.

When does the judging begin? Is it required?

If you are competing in the table decoration contest, your table number must remain visible until judging is completed. Table decor must be complete by 6:00pm to qualify for judging.

And though we do encourage all Dinner on the Bricks attendees to come up with a theme for your table and have fun, you are free to do as little or as lot as you’d like. And entry into the contest is not required for enjoying Dinner on the Bricks.

What time will the event end?

The event will officially conclude at 10:00pm. All event volunteers have a great deal of work to accomplish in order to clean the event area. Please be respectful of the event end time and clear your items from the Center for the Arts no later than 10:30 pm.

Who is responsible for damages?

The Vashti Center and the Center for the Arts are not responsible for any property damaged, stolen, or left by attendees or caterers. Items unclaimed at the end of the evening will be kept at the Remur Young building on Vashti’s Thomasville campus and an announcement will be emailed for any items left behind to claim them for one week. At that time, we will donate those items if we do not hear back.

What about open flame?

Open flames and candles are not allowed due to the fire hazard, however battery operated lighting is permitted.

What if the event is cancelled?

Refunds will not be given. If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather, Vashti will reschedule the event at a later date.

Who should I contact if I have questions?

Please email us at events@vashti.org, and a team member will reach out soon.

What's Givebutter?

Givebutter is our new donations platform that enables all donations and event ticket purchases on a single system. They offer this service to nonprofits for free in exchange for tips from our donors. If you accept the processing fee, the full amount of the donation goes to Vashti. We switched to this platform in May of 2024 to simplify and streamline our internal processes. We hope you like it!

Where's the table map for the event?

We’ve changed things up a bit for this year with our new management team. When you go through Givebutter’s event management tool, it will prompt you with several questions for you to answer. Our volunteer team will do their best to accommodate your requests. So if you want to sit close to friends, or in a particular area, need handicap assistance or have a food allergy, please inform our team of these details when you submit your order. If we don’t have all questions answered, a volunteer will call you for more details.

May I pay by check even though everything is online now?

Yes, you may place your order online and select “pay by check” so we’ll expect to see your check in the mail. Please send checks and donations to:
